NCC: NATIONAL CADET CORPS – A Name for National Character.
The school runs a junior wing for the army. The coy is commanded by 01 Chandigarh girls by NCC, headed by an officer of the rank of Lt. Col or equivalent. The Chandigarh group is a part of the Directorate of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh. With its office in Sector 9, Chandigarh. Headed by DDG of the rank of Brigadier or equivalent.
System of NCC training in Our School:
NCC training has been designed to create in youth a sense of patriotism, discipline, self-confidence, and self-reliance. It also develops qualities of leadership, the spirit of adventure, sense of pride and makes them better citizens and leaders.
Training:
This training is carried out in the school in the form of weekly parades. Apart from drill and posture training cadets are given training with the emphasis on leadership development, adventure training, and social service to enable cadets to develop greater self-confidence and enable them to render useful service to the community.
